Arrival by your own means at Hotel Carlton in the centre of beautiful Ferrara and accommodation in your rooms. You can then continue your day strolling through the city streets with your pet. After this walk you will be hungry, so it is time to enjoy a fabulous dinner at a fish restaurant, where you can enjoy typical dishes together with your furry friend. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will set off with our guide to discover Ferrara: a beautiful UNESCO heritage city, ideal for strolling through its streets.
Ferrara is considered one of the most intact Renaissance cities in Italy and thanks to our local guide, you will dive into its UNESCO-protected historic centre. You will discover its 'Renaissance character', revealed in every corner, every loggia and every square. You will admire the main sights on foot, such as the majestic Castello Estense, the Cathedral of San Giorgio Martire, the Piazza Municipale and the Scalone d'onore, the Palazzo dei Diamanti, the Foschini rotunda, the historical palaces and the Jewish Ghetto (all visits are outdoors since it is not possible to visit these museums with animals), always accompanied by your pet. The tour includes a visit to the Schifanoia Museum (tickets included) - The Hall of the Months, where your pet is welcome. (If you are accompanied by a small dog, the Castello Estense and the Museo della Cattedrale can also be visited and will be quoted on request). Free lunch in the city. In the afternoon you will have time to relax, take a walk, or go with your pet to the Gavioli - Sauro dog-walking area located just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. In the evening you will enjoy delicious typical Ferrara dishes at a local osteria. Overnight stay at Hotel Carlton.
