Wines of Central Marche – The Verdicchio
The most renowned wine from Marche region in the world is probably Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. This is a wine having great aromas and sensations. Structured, full bodied, elegant, it has a straw yellow color with evident greenish reflections, from which the name Verdicchio derives, which show fragrance, vivacity and a remarkable freshness. The wine starts with strong aromas of hawthorn flowers and wild flowers and then develops a fresh fruitiness of peach, apple and light citrus fruits. Unmistakable finish characterized by the aftertaste of bitter almond.
