CREA IL TUO VIAGGIOThere is no other city in the world as rich in Baroque art as Rome, and not everyone knows that this artistic style produced many architectural works with illusionistic perspectives. Our 3-hour walk in central Rome will take you on a discovery of these illusionistic Baroque architectures, along with other undisputed masterpieces of Baroque art and some curiosities, such as talking statues, about the Eternal City.
You will meet your guide at the hotel to set off on foot to Palazzo Spada where Borromini created the famous false perspective, the most amazing architectural optical illusion conceived during the Baroque.
You will enter the picturesque alleys of the center to unveil wonderful paintings by the Baroque master par excellence, Caravaggio, and then marvel at the dome of the church of Sant’Ignazio…which dome is actually not!
The visit will end at Piazza Navona where Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers will tell you the story of challenges between him and Borromini, who built the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone opposite the fountain.
In the late afternoon, we will finally let you enjoy an aperitif at a very scenic spot!
