Lombardy – Fashion capitals, romantic lakes and fine wines

This region, made up of places of art and enchanting landscapes, is able to satisfy the needs of any type of tourist.

  • The Certosa of Pavia:

religious monument consisting of a monastery and a sanctuary, is located in the municipality of the same name. Built at the end of the 14th century, it has shapes and decorations in various styles. Since 1866 it has been declared a national monument and today it is recognized as one of the most beautiful attractions in Lombardy .

  • Monte Isola:

known as the ” pearl of Lake Iseo “, it was named the third best European tourist resort in 2019. To date, one of the main attractions is the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Ceriola, located on the top of the mountain overlooking the island.

  • Desenzano del Garda:

Desenzano is an obligatory stop for those who want to spend time on the shores of Lake Garda in the name of relaxation and also offers its visitors a series of monuments and places of interest such as: The Cathedral of Santa Maria Maddalena, The Castle of Desenzano and the Roman villa of Desenzano sul Garda.

  • Mantua:

Mantua was elected Italian Capital of Culture in 2016. To visit absolutely: the Cathedral, the Basilica of Sant’Andrea and the Rotonda di San Lorenzo, while among the civil architectures, Palazzo Gonzaga deserves a stop, which by extension of the roofs is the second in Europe surpassed only by the Vatican, and Palazzo Te with the famous hall of Cupid and Psyche. it is the Italian capital of economy and fashion. The Cathedral is the main symbol of the city, and going up to the terraces you can admire a dream panorama. there are many towns and villages that rise on the shores of the lake, one more beautiful and characteristic than the other. Starting from Como itself, with the Duomo which is one of the major cathedrals in northern Italy, the Lungolago and Villa Olmo. Moreover, most of the boat tours and taxi boats depart from here to nearby towns, including Bellagio and Menaggio. Bellagio is considered the most beautiful village on the lake. the food and wine sectors are very strong in this area, among the best known products that are produced here are: bresaola, pizzoccheri and the red wine Valtellina Superiore DOCG. Among the municipalities to visit is Livigno, a paradise for lovers of high-altitude sports, both in summer and in winter. Another place not to be missed is Bormio, famous for its thermal baths.

is famous for the production of the wine of the same name, the Franciacorta DOCG, produced through the classic method of refermentation.
